The youngest of two children her
brother was grown by the time their parents recognized the second time. Having had a soft spot for the
young ones he always had time for her questions and never became upset with her following him around.
She toddled after him constantly and he indulged her far more than their parents approved of. He even
parted ways with his lovemate because of differences in the way they felt about cubs. When she
discovered her magic at less than 16 turns in age it was her brother who encouraged her to both
practice and be careful.
She was just past her 68th turn when she aquired her scar. Her brother had been acting as a guard for the group of gatherers she was with when he was attacked by a many arm. She went to his rescue and while cutting the arm which held him from the body of the creature it managed to slip one around her ankle. He sliced it from the creature and they swam away with the rest of the small party back to the safety of the lagoon. It was perhaps a hundred turns later when her brother became the new storm warden, a position of pride for the tribe but one he was reluctant to accept. She was very proud of him for his important position and has always been there for him to talk to. |
